Here are some examples of Dr. Alok’s Presentations:

Keynote #1: “Three Mantras That Will Change Your Life”

In this entertaining, high-energy presentation, Dr. Alok demystifies the principles behind losing weight, nourishing the body, and staying healthy.Along the way, he teaches his listeners three mantras that will forever change their relationship with food. The first is: “If it has no cage, my glucose will rage!” (Processed carbs lack a fiber “cage,” and this makes the blood sugar level shoot up at an unhealthy rate). The second: “That is the tiger—but I am stronger!” (A technique for resisting today’s highly tempting foods). The third: “If I have aimed high and missed the mark, let me aim low and hit the mark!” (For many of us, it is easier and more effective to strive for small, attainable daily victories—a donut refused, a salad chosen instead of a hamburger—than to set lofty weight-loss goals. Over time, the small victories add up).

“It was an evening many will not quickly forget for its tremendous value as a lifelong guide to healthier food choices and also for the entertainment value that Dr. Kalia brings to all of his presentations.”

Alan Levitz,
CEO/President,
GCG Financial, Bannockburn, IL.

“Your presentation was inspirational to all who attended.  The Mantras are strategically placed.  We are bringing in Ezekiel bread, fresh fruits, vegetables and healthy drinks as well. Lots of great changes and it hasn’t been a week.”

Keynote #2: “Dr. Alok’s Guided Tour Inside the Body”

Join Dr. Alok on a light-hearted (but scientifically accurate) tour of the human body. Follow a couple of jelly donuts through the system and learn how to burn calories instead of storing them as fat! Eavesdrop on conversations between the empty stomach and the brain, and learn how to apply the 15-minute rule (15 minutes after you start eating, the need for a second helping disappears). Understand how, for some of us, food addiction leads to failure of diet after diet—and what to do about it.  And much, much more!

“Your presentation was one of the most well received programs we’ve had in a long time!” [Note: This was a presentation for the physicians on the Medical Staff of the hospital].

Jennie Ferguson, MBA, CPCS, CRCR
Director of Medical Affairs
Memorial Health System of East Texas

Interactive Workshop: “Healthy Eating and Weight Management: The First Steps to Wellness.”

Dr. Alok accomplishes three things in this workshop:

  1. Using anecdotes, pictures, and humor, he first helps his listeners understand
    1. the difference between hunger, desire, and food cravings, and how to control each;
    2. the chemistry of carbs and fat, and how this information can be used to make better food choices and improve eating habits; and
    3. the importance of omega-3 fatty acids, anti-oxidants and fiber in a healthy diet.
  2. Next, Dr. Alok guides his audience through a 7-point eating plan that includes breakfast, lunch and dinner; between-meal snacks; dessert; and the responsible use of alcohol.  The goal is to use everyday food prepared in a healthy but tasty manner—veggies, fruits, meat, chicken, fish, nuts, cereal—it’s all there.
  3. If the audience consists largely of people who meet frequently or work side-by-side, Dr. Alok shows them how to help each other as they walk down the road of healthy eating.

Note: Longer-term healthy eating and weight management group plans are also available.

“Your presentation was extremely well received. In fact as a group so far we have lost over 150 pounds. I most certainly and unequivocally would recommend you as a presenter and an advocate for health and wellness. Thank you again for coming and speaking to our employees.”

Noel Davis
Manager, Administrative Services
ZXP Technologies, LLC.

“It is hard to explain how a three hour discussion on nutrition could be fun but trust me, it is. The way that the information is presented is informative, entertaining, and inspirational. We all learned a lot about how our body works and how best to fuel it. Those of us who live our lives on diets frequently hear about healthy choices. What Alok effectively shares is not only what to choose but why.

A cross section of our employees attended, from warehouse and mill workers to sales and office people. Dr. Kalia’s ability to relate to this wide range of “appetites” was amazing. There is no question that all of us who heard the presentation will make more healthy choices and be aware when we are in the “jaws of the tiger.”
